Video Game Adventures - Kirby Mass Attack!

I am seriously super excited about this early Valentines/Birthday my boyfriend gave me today! I hadn't even seen this game before, but I was still super excited about it. I mean it's Kirby! Just from looking at the booklet inside the game case for Kirby Mass Attack, I was squeeing, haha!

So far I have only beating the first level, which is really just a "Welcome to the game, here's how you play it" level. Even after that I am still really psyched about playing through this game... usually a good sign for me. I'm hope that this doesn't take me a year to get through though, like some other games. It's not that the games are difficult, it's just my short-ish attention span's fault.

I think it's pretty interesting that the game is mostly touchscreen based. Not a lot of the Nintendo DS games I've owned in the past have been, so it ill be cool to switch things up a bit.

Here's an E3 Trailer for Kirby Mass Attack:

Doesn't it look like fun? Well, at least I find it amusing, haha. I'm just hoping this doesn't distract me too much from finishing LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 5-7. But I have to admit Kirby games are a little more fitting for my attention span, so I don't know...

Anyways, we'll see. You'll most like know what comes of this, because it's pretty much a sure thing that every time I actually finish a game I will be verbally happy-dancing on this blog, haha. So until next time!

My New Addiction... Pinterest

So I've found this website called Pinterest, and I'm already pretty addicted to it. At first glance it doesn't seem like it would be possible... but trust me, it is.

Essentially, it's like a pin board, but on the web. You can "pin" pictures of things/people/anything you like, from your computer or from almost any random website onto your boards. I already have 23 random boards... it's crazy, haha.

You can also follow other users boards, and re-pin their pins on your own boards, and they can do the same with yours. I have found all kinds of neat stuff through pins on Pinterest, from random gaming paraphernalia, to Spock cookies, to yummy recipes. You can even pin YouTube videos!

So yeah, as you can see, I really like this site. Want to check out my boards? Here's a link: https://pinterest.com/shantellevye/

Videos I Squee Over - The Killers "Read My Mind", Literal Version

I have watched this Literal Video of The Killers song Read My Mind over 30 times (no lie), and I still laugh out loud every time I watch it. I think this is one of my favorite Literal Videos, other than the Total Eclipse of the Heart one, haha.

I kind of wish there were more Literal Videos out there, but there haven't seemed to be any made recently. Sad, because they are pretty hilarious!

Shantelle's Video Game Adventures - LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 5-7

My boyfriend bought me LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 5-7 for Christmas. I was super excited about him getting it because one, I love the Harry Potter books/movies, and two, I thought it would fun to play as LEGO® people. However, while the game is pretty fun and I like playing it, I am VERY confused about it right now.

First of all, I completed the first level, but I did so not even knowing what I did. I've also found that a lot of things are not explained very well in the game, and even looking in the booklet that came with the game doesn't really help. Another frustrating thing is that I can't seem to find any walkthroughs for the game, which would be VERY useful in helping to make sure I'm not missing anything important instruction-wise.

(BTW, if anyone out there knows of a good walkthrough, I would appreciate it immensely if you could link me to it. Thanks in advance!)
Other than those issues, the game is pretty amusing. It's obviously aimed more towards children, but it's great for my short attention span, haha. I like that you get to play as so many different characters; you even get to play as the kids' pets at certain points! I also think it's neat seeing the buildings and everything in
LEGO®
form.

I'm hoping I get through this game fairly quickly in comparison to how long it takes me to complete my other games... even if it takes a year that would be quick enough. I'm pretty sure I'm the least speedy gamer on Earth, haha.

Want to check the game out for yourself? Here's a link to the game's website, where you can watch gameplay videos and such: LEGO.com Harry Potter Years 5-7, The Videogame
